Project Summary

NECC successfully completed a comprehensive exterior restoration and roofing project at Kings Park Library in Fairfax, Virginia, in coordination with general contractor WTI and vendor TREMCO. The scope of work was designed to restore and protect the building envelope, extend the life of the existing roofing systems, and enhance the overall appearance of the facility. Coordination between all parties ensured a smooth workflow and adherence to manufacturer specifications throughout the project.

The work performed by NECC included through-wall waterproofing applications, metal roof restoration with primer, base, and topcoats, and seal coating of the brick façade to improve water resistance. The team also conducted extensive power washing of both roof and façade surfaces, performed roof vacuuming to remove debris and contaminants, and completed a full reroof of Area 1 using approved materials. Additional restoration efforts included coating and gravel application for durability and reflectivity, along with cleaning, repairing, and sealing all gutters and flashings to ensure watertight performance.

Through diligent project management and collaboration with WTI and TREMCO, NECC delivered a high-quality, manufacturer-compliant restoration that improved the library’s waterproofing, structural integrity, and curb appeal. The project was completed safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with the project schedule and performance standards expected by both the client and manufacturer.
